This policy concerns this website and information you choose to include in an enquiry about writing services. It does not describe the practices of every organisation mentioned in an example or of a separate service you may use to read, store or send email.
02Reading the portfolio
You can read the services, writing samples and information pages without creating an account. Requests for a page or asset necessarily involve technical information such as a network address, requested URL and browser connection details. Hosting and delivery providers may handle this information to deliver content, diagnose failures and protect their infrastructure. The website does not ask readers to sign in or establish a customer profile. Viewing a fictional project is not an expression of interest in a real product and does not place you on a customer list.
03Information in the enquiry form
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional organisation or project name, an area of interest and a message. These details help put a prospective writing assignment in context. Only include information relevant to the intended discussion. A short outline of the audience, format and content problem is usually sufficient. Do not paste passwords, identity documents, banking details or sensitive information about employees or customers. There is no file-upload control, and the form does not attach documents to an email draft.
04What preparing a draft actually does
The form runs in your browser. Its button prepares a mailto link and asks your configured email application to open a draft containing the entered details. This action does not submit the message to a website inbox, confirm receipt or book work. You decide whether to edit and send the draft from your own email application. Until you send it, the website form itself has no server submission endpoint that receives those values. Your browser or mail application may retain drafts, autofill entries or history under its own settings.
05Purposes of correspondence
If an enquiry is sent and received, its contents may be used to understand the proposed assignment, discuss scope, clarify requirements and continue related correspondence. An agreed project may involve further information needed to prepare work or maintain appropriate records. The reason and legal basis for handling information depend on the interaction and applicable requirements, including responding to a request, performing an agreement or meeting an obligation. Sending an enquiry is not consent to unrelated promotional messages. An enquiry should not be interpreted as permission to publish its contents in this portfolio.
06Hosting, email and other providers
The site uses hosting and network delivery services, and email correspondence relies on the providers used by the sender and recipient. These services can process connection information or message content as needed for their functions. The public interface does not identify every location in which those providers operate. Information may therefore be handled outside your location, subject to the relevant provider arrangements and applicable requirements. A claim that all data remains in one country is not made here. Review your own email provider’s information if its handling of drafts or attachments matters to your enquiry.
07Cookies, browser storage and network features
The authored pages do not use browser storage to remember enquiries. Fonts are served as local website assets, and the writing samples do not contain embedded videos or social feeds. This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic and website performance. Cloudflare also provides email-address protection and decoding for displayed contact links. These network features operate separately from the local email-draft form, which does not submit the details you enter to a website endpoint. Your email application handles any draft you choose to open. Browser privacy settings and content controls govern what your browser accepts, subject to their own limitations.
08Retention and practical control
The static form does not maintain a website database of enquiries. A sent message may remain in mailboxes, backups or project records under the systems used for correspondence. A universal deletion period is not specified because the appropriate period depends on the reason for keeping the information and applicable obligations. Relevant considerations include whether an enquiry is active, whether it became a project and whether records are needed to resolve an issue. You can remove an unsent draft from your own email application; that does not remove a message already delivered to another mailbox.
09Security and careful sharing
Reasonable care with correspondence includes limiting unnecessary personal details and checking the recipient before sending a message. No website or email channel can promise absolute confidentiality or uninterrupted availability. If a project requires confidential source material, discuss an appropriate exchange method and any confidentiality terms before providing it. A contact form is not a secure document repository. If you think a message or shared link exposed information unintentionally, explain the issue through the contact channel without repeating the sensitive material in full. Access to a public page does not create a confidentiality agreement.
10Questions, access and correction
